Dressage and Combined Test
Local schooling shows are a great way for amature riders to get their feet wet in the equestrian competition arena. Throughout the year, Overly Stables will attend a number of local schooling shows as they come available to provide students with this fun and educational experience.

Show fees are usually specified on prize lists provided by the show secretary. Each student is responsible for registering for their respective classes and paying the required fees as directed by the show and coordinated through their instructor. In addition to the show fees, there is an additional coaching fee of $75 per student ($50 per student who brings their own horse) made payable to Overly Stables which is due in full prior to the event. Only students who are current on payments and who have not missed more than two lessons within three months prior to the event will be eligible for competition. A maximum of 8 students will attend each show depending on the availability of horses.
Show attire for these events is casual. Riding breeches or jodphurs with a solid shirt or polo is appropriate. Paddock boots or tall dress boots must be worn in addition to an ASTM/SEI certified riding helmet. However, for those who would prefer a more formal turnout for photographic purposes, buff or tan breeches with a white, collared show shirt, and a solid black or navy blue jacket is also fine (Artex is pictured left with a young Lynsey on board wearing a formal dressage turnout complete with white breeches and stock tie!). Helmet covers are not required for colored helmets, but may be worn if preferred.
