Horse Boarding

*We are currently booked full for boarding and are maintaining a waitlist.
At Overly Stables, we strive to keep healthy and happy horses. Because Overly Stables sits on just 6.5 acres, we only have space available for a small number of boarders. We can offer personalized care to each individual horse. Rest assured, your equine family member will be content and well cared for under the watchful eyes of Miss Marka! Board includes daily turnout, stall care (for full board) and two feedings a day along with top quality orchard and orchard/alfalfa hay.

The Stable

Overly Stables features a spacious 7-stall barn complete with a tackroom and outdoor wash rack with hot and cold water. The barn is certified to withstand up to 130mph winds. The stalls vary in size from 12' x 10' to 8' x 10' and are open and airy with see through side paneling to encourage socialization and windows for a view to the outside world. Each stall has been carefully prepped and leveled, and features cushioned stall mats for optimum comfort. Whenever possible, horses are turned out both night and day with the exception of extreme or severe weather. Owners have the option of turnout at their discretion should they require. On such days, horses are stabled with fans on in their stalls during the daytime in hot summer months, or at night to retain heat during the cold winter months. Blanketing is done at the request of the horse's owner.

Horses are fed daily twice a day. We feed Triple Crown 30% feed, golden flax, and beet pulp along with quality grass and legume hay. Horses are fed according to their diet needs and can be supplemented at the owners request. We also supplement a feed-through fly control (Simplifly) to minimize the biting insect population.

Riding Facilities

In addition to some grassy and partially wooded acreage, we have a 70' x 120', sand outdoor riding arena for a controlled riding environment. Our stable is located in the Cane Bay area of Summerville, so nearby trails are just minutes away!

The Pastures

Overly Stables has three manacured pastures planted with a variety of pasture grass for year-round grazing. Pastures are maintained routinely to ensure clean troughs, automatic watering systems, fertilization, seeding, weed control and lime management to promote growth in quality grass and to minimize the likelihood of parasite infestations. Our pastures feature a combination of 12 guage galvanized no-climb horse fencing, 3-rail wood fence, and electric tape systems with safety and security a number one priority.

Horse Leasing

We currently have one pony available for partial lease (Two days per week). Leasing is done on a case by case basis and at the discrimination of the stable to ensure a good match. Lease includes: all veterinary care, farrier care, limited use of a selected horse, tack and equipment, and use of the riding facilities.
